My new website is now live

Greetings! I am very excited to share with the world my new website. I would be delighted if you go and check it out.

I used Squarespace - a great web building platform that creates beautiful professional looking sites. Seriously go and check it out. It is a 'WYSIWYG' program or 'what you see is what you get' which means no coding has to be involved, you move around the spaces on the page to build up and see in real time how it looks. Unlike other similar sites I have tested out in the past, there is so much to customise. There is a huge library of lovely typography you can tinker about with. I went with Palantino Linotype for the logo and Calluna Sans for the navigation and body text.

I have slightly altered the way to use my website, I added a new 'about me' page, which gives overview of my background and production skills. I can use this to send out for networking and self promotion. I hope the site now shows of my interest in photography and my creative output without a distraction to my professional goals.

Adding social media icons is another great plus, you can have these in the footer of every page, but I decided to have them just on my about page. They link to my LinkedIn, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest accounts and also a link to email me. This shows I am active in social streams with great awareness on how they all work.

It was surprisingly quick to move over my work. I enjoyed re editing my collections and made some alterations. Being easier to upload images, I hope this will make me update new images more often. Heck, even shoot more!

After that loveliness - back to work. With this curses tube strike, this week I have had two meetings cancelled and stuck in Crouch End as it is a right pain to get into town. I'm not grumbling too much, still plenty to do at home and will take a breather to return a book at the library. Cheerio.
