With now only
eight days people
EIGHT days till I leave for Asia, I needed a weekend to stop me spending anymore money, as frankly this trip is killing my expenses. So waking up to a lovely warm morning with little to do, I thought I would keep myself busy with a good spring clean. I came across these collection of postcards I completely forgot about. I bought them on a trip to
Valencia a few years back. We came across a little market of only a few stalls outside a Church. Happy days! Take me back to the warmth now. They were mainly selling old stamps, but one gentleman was selling these postcards and early portraiture cards. Very quaint little things. I love them! Nice to get them framed one day. They all look turn of the century.

Growing quite a collection now. I always look for them when I go to markets, a little glimpse of what used to be. There are big collectors out there, who have 1000s of them. I have always been to attracted to old things, I hope that is what I convey in my own work. A simpler, quieter way of life I'm pretty sure would suit me better than 2013 living in a metropolis! The colours are beautiful too, oh I really find them fascinating.
Finally, they also had some of these little flyers for movies with Spanish text. Pretty darn sweet.
